Free checklist
Make your SharePoint library Copilot ready.
When Copilot gives vague or wrong answers, it's usually the library it's pulling from. This checklist walks you through fixing one library in two steps, then testing it with a real question.
- ✓Define the purpose. What belongs in the library, who relies on it and the questions it should answer, with a fill-in purpose statement.
- ✓Give it structure. A clear name, 3 to 5 columns mapped to your questions, and one current version of each document.
- ✓Try one real question. Check the answer in the document, then ask Copilot the same thing and see where the gap is.

From Daniel Anderson, Microsoft MVP
I've spent 20+ years in SharePoint and Microsoft 365, and these days I help organisations get Copilot and AI working on their own content. This is the framework I use when I go and look at a library that isn't giving good answers.
